Serena
Serena - Bride
The Queen originated in New York to Jamaican and Indian parents, and was coincidentally the daughter of a first elder. She recently became a doctor last year. She loves new adventures, being a pediatric speech pathologist, barely surviving hiking trails that her husband takes her on, and trying and cooking new dishes! She is excited to welcome all her friends and family to finally celebrate her union with one as quirky as she.
Michel
Michel - Groom
The King was born in the best African country known, Doula, Cameroon. He attended school twice and can express how much he loves his bride in both English and French. The king was also coincidentally the son of a first elder. The King enjoys intellectual conversation, hiking, adventure, the PSG soccer team, and DIYing all the projects his queen asks of him. He is excited to welcome all his loved ones and family to to once again celebrate another blessing with his Queen.
Aisha
Aisha - Maid of Honor
Per Aisha: "To know Serena is to love her, Cliche right?! No, but seriously Serena and I went to the same daycare but never even knew until much later. We officially met, sitting next each in English class at Northeastern Academy in our sophomore year or junior year of high school. We instantly clicked (I think) and realized we had some things in common. Ever since NEA and going our separate ways for college, we continued to grow from friends to sisters. She knows I am not going anywhere and vice versa. I am honored to be a part of her bridal party to be on her right hand as her Maid Of Honor! :) Interesting fact about me: I am a social worker who is a foodie who enjoys trying food from different cultures!
Jodie
Jodie - Bridesmaid
"Serena and I met our freshman year of high school. I don't recall the exact moment we became friends. In fact, I'm not sure such a "moment" exists. In my recollection, it happened organically. I just remember laughing together a lot in class, having lunch together all the time, and taking the bus home together after school every day. After high school we attended the same University and were roommates for a year before she became an RA and upgraded to her own room! We had a lot of the same classes together and would study/stress out together often. We remained friends throughout college even when we were on separate paths studying different things. Serena has always remained a kind, loyal, sweet but can get spicy, funny, and selfless human. I'm so happy to know her and call her friend.
Hannah
Hannah - Bridesmaid
Per Hannah: "Hi! I'm Hannah Love and I am the bride's god sister. I work as a Program Director for an after school program in Brooklyn, NY. Some of my passions include music, leading worship, crocheting, and all things Caribbean culture (insert Jamaican flag here)!! Serena and I met at our childhood church and we have been sisters ever since. A fun fact about me is I see, hear and feel music in everything and I love hugging and loving on people."
Christiane
Christiane - Bridesmaid
Per Christiane: "My name is Christiane, and I am happy to witness the union of Mike and Serena. For a long time, my husband shared his childhood memories with Mike, and it was during one of their phone calls that we had the honor of meeting Serena, his fiancée. From the very first moments, a beautiful connection was established between Serena and me. We have had the chance to visit each other several times, sharing warm and friendly moments. Serena is a person of rare gentleness and care, with a hospitable and kind spirit that touches everyone. I am truly happy to see her so fulfilled with her dear and loving husband, Mike. May the Lord's light continue to shine ever more brightly in your home, bringing you joy and peace. With all my affection, Christiane"

"I've known the bride my whole life....I'm her brother lol. She's always looking out for others, and feeding me. What can i say, best sister ever! She may or may not have had an influence in that last sentence. I'm glad to see my sister and new brother in law celebrate their union in front of friends and family, but also can't wait to dive into the tasty food to be served!"
